Ranger is now 10 weeks old but now thinks he's a teenager. He no longer listens. And he chews on everything so yesterday, I had to spray the entire house with Bitter Apple!!
He's such a dear and we love him. He no longer takes long naps so that I can read a few chapters of my novel.... He needs a lot more exercise.
I put a bell around his neck because he keeps disappearing!
Jill Sheeley has lived in Aspen for over 37 years fulfilling a life long dream of writing and publishing books. She lives high in the mountains in a log house with her husband Don, her daughter Courtney and her two yellow Labrador Retrievers, Fraser and Maggie.
Her 1st book, Christmas in Aspen was written as a tribute to the wonderful people of Aspen. Next, she combined her love of cooking with her love of writing, resulting in 2 cookbooks, Tastes of Aspen and Lighter Tastes of Aspen. Jill’s mother, Ruth Stern, lovingly illustrated these first 3 books.
As a contented mother of a young daughter, Jill’s focus soon changed. After reading Courtney hundreds of books, she decided to write an adventure book for children. Fraser, the family Lab and Courtney were the logical main characters and remain so after 7 books in the Fraser series.
Jill is excited to introduce her newest book, The Blue Bottle, (available as of February 2009). This book, her first young adult adventure book, is a tale of travel and mystery that takes place in the Caribbean.
When asked about why she writes, Sheeley quickly replies, “Writing is like breathing. It brings me joy—plain and simple.”
